Metro Lofts is a multi-phased development of condominium lofts and rental homes located in Royal Oak’s newly created mixed-use rail district with easy access to downtown restaurants, galleries and shops. Inspired by the great buildings of America’s industrial past, the buildings are distinguished by the generous scale, high ceilings and oversized windows of classic lofts coupled with contemporary amenities. The flexible and open interiors have a rugged loft aesthetic exposing the honest use of humble industrial materials. All lofts are framed with exposed steel bar joists and metal deck or concrete ceilings, exposed mechanical systems, highly polished stained concrete floors and exposed load bearing masonry interior walls. Sliding flush solid-core wood panels on industrial hardware provide flexible room division. Interiors feature exposed spiral metal ductwork, structural steel framing, and exposed galvanized metal decking. European modular kitchen cabinetry and granite counters are paired with commercial grade stainless steel appliances. Gallery grade track lighting illuminates artwork.
Welcome to Metropolitan Lofts
Dear New Co-owner,
By way of introduction, Association Management, Inc. (AMI) is the managing agent for the Metropolitan Lofts Condominium Association. We welcome you to your new home and are here to serve you should the need arise. As you become settled, you may have questions regarding the care and maintenance of the community. We recommend first, that each resident reads and understands the Governing Documents for the Association. You should have received these documents, known as the Master Deed and Bylaws at your closing. These documents contain the information necessary to define responsibilities, guidelines and procedures pertaining to all aspects of your home and the surrounding community. Please take time to review these, as they are most helpful in understanding the condominium concept of living you now enjoy.
Questions you may have regarding the maintenance of the common areas or unit exterior as well as accounting inquiries should be directed to AMI during normal business hours of 9 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. Tony Major [email protected] is your Community Manager. Please do not hesitate to contact him with a concern, request or question.
AMI’s main phone number is 586-739-6001. The phone line for AMI is also monitored after hours by a “live” answering service to handle emergency calls. Work order requests can be submitted on our website www.amicondos.com or emailed to your property manager, Tony – [email protected]. Please note: Prior to completing a request for service, refer to the enclosed Responsibility Matrix to determine if your request is for an item that is defined by your Governing Documents as Association responsibility.
Payments are due on the 1st of each month following the closing. Payments received after the 10th will be assessed a late fee of $25.00 and an admin fee of $5. Please make your check payable to Metropolitan Lofts. AMI offers the option of having your monthly assessment payments automatically deducted directly from your bank account through our online portal.
AMI has selected FIRST CITIZENS Bank as the financial institution for all operating accounts. FIRST CITIZENS Bank has been providing specialized services to management companies and homeowners associations for well over a decade. FIRST CITIZENS Bank offers user friendly payment options, which are listed on the enclosed document. Please note there will be an additional fee for all credit card transactions.

For more information on what is covered by the Association’s insurance, please review the insurance section of the Metropolitan Lofts Governing Documents.
The dumpster is provided by Republic Services – republicservices.com
Please see the Metro Lofts Recycling Updates Document for more information on our recycling program.
Please keep the dumpster area clean and always place items inside of the dumpster or recycling containers. If the dumpster is full, trash cannot be placed next to or around the dumpster area. The dumpster is emptied Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The recycling bins need to be taken to the curb on Tuesday evening for Wednesday morning pickup. The bins need to be brought back to their designated area on Wednesday afternoon. We always appreciate the assistance from the residents in the community to get this done.
Management requests that if you are moving and have a large volume of trash, make management aware by emailing [email protected] so appropriate actions can be taken to ensure the dumpster is not overfilled and is still available to other residents before the next emptying.
Send us a message – we’re here to help.
